I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down.

It’s been such a dreary and rainy day today and all I can think of are the fun times I had trying to stay dry in Cambridge!

Social Media
It’s crazy how much social media defines our society. The likes of facebook and twitter have begun to run our lives. You don’t even realize how much so until you go without them. Having deactivated my facebook account in April, I have felt so detached from so much of my social life. I didn’t realize how much I used facebook to communicate with all my friends. While at first it seemed beneficial that I was eliminating such a distraction, I’ve started to feel very isolated, as so many people use it as their primary form of communication. I now have 22 more days until I can reactivate and I am counting down the minutes.
